At Chuckling Goat, we strongly believe in the power of ecosystems. The health of an ecosystem relies on the richness of connections within it.
Whether the ecosystem is inside your gut or outside in the world around you, the rules for looking after it are still the same:
- Love it.
- Feed it.
- Don’t poison it.
We aim to leave things better than we found them, so we really appreciate the efforts of the Herefordshire Community Reuse & Recycling Group! ♻️💚
Their main focus is to help protect the environment by promoting and making recycling easier for everyone, reducing the number of goods going into landfills, and reusing goods to support those who need them most – it’s a win-win!
Here’s how they’re doing it:
“We do this by receiving and collecting donations of household goods, including furniture and clothing. We reuse what we can to support a number of agencies such as social services and refuges, by passing on the usable furniture and household goods free of charge. These are used to rehome people in need and avoids social services spending taxpayer money on buying new. We also support social services, schools and other agencies by giving clothing, toys and bicycles etc for children in the care system. We have also helped homeless charities, sent sleeping bags to the Ukraine and supported numerous other charitable enterprises in Herefordshire.“
