This stuff really works!
I have had terrible eczema around my mouth for months, I bought the break out kefir lotion out of desperation and my god, this stuff works! About the Lotion
Our kefir lotions are handmade on the farm in small batches using goat’s milk, our award-winning kefir and a blend of moisturising plant oils. They are designed as rich everyday moisturisers for the face, hands and body.
Every formulation starts with water, goat’s milk, kefir, olive oil, Finnish oat oil and rice bran oil, with a vegetable-based emulsifier, stabilising ingredients and D-panthenol (vitamin B5). The scented formulations then include their stated essential oils. Check the full ingredient list for your chosen lotion if you have allergies or sensitivities.
The lotions are free from phthalates, petrochemicals, parabens, dyes and artificial perfumes. Any scent comes from the essential oils listed for that formulation. Sensitive contains no essential oils or added fragrance.
Choosing Your Lotion
Sensitive contains no essential oils or fragrance; Break-Out combines thyme and tea tree and is our strongest formulation; Soothing uses rosemary for a fresh herbal scent; and Calm-Down contains lavender for a softer, relaxing fragrance.
Start with Sensitive. It contains no essential oils or fragrance and uses the same goat’s milk kefir base with oat, rice bran and olive oils. If your skin is particularly reactive, check the full ingredient list and patch test before wider use.
Break-Out is our strongest formulation. It contains thyme and tea tree essential oils and is intended for teenagers and adults with blemish-prone skin. It is recommended for ages 12 and over.
The lotions are cruelty-free, but they are not vegan because every formulation contains goat’s milk and kefir. Full ingredients are listed for each formulation on the product page and packaging.
How to Use It
Yes. Apply the lotion to clean, dry skin on the face, hands or body and massage it in gently. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
A little goes a long way. Apply enough to lightly cover the area and add more if needed. The lotions can be used twice daily or as often as your skin needs.
Apply a small amount to clear skin on the inside of your wrist and wait 10 minutes. If there is no redness, stinging or other reaction, you can apply it more widely. If irritation occurs, stop using the lotion.
Yes. Cleanse with your chosen goat’s milk soap, rinse and dry the skin, then apply the kefir lotion. You can pair products from the same formulation or mix them to suit your skin and fragrance preferences.
Suitability & Care
Sensitive is suitable for children aged 3 years and over. Break-Out is our strongest formulation and is recommended for ages 12 and over only. For any new skincare product, check the label and patch test on a small area of clear skin before first use.
Sensitive is the preferred option because it contains no essential oils or fragrance and is described as suitable during pregnancy. If you would prefer a formulation containing essential oils, or have any concerns, check with your midwife, GP or healthcare professional first.
Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, and close it properly after use. Each formulation has a best-before period of 12 months from the date of manufacture; check the date printed on the packaging.
