Spring clean your home the natural way!

Embrace the new season with a natural touch and infuse freshness into your spring-cleaning routine with the power of essential oils – a natural symphony of cleanliness for your home and comfort for your senses!

Spring cleaning with essential oils can add a refreshing aroma to your home while also providing many natural benefits to both your health and cleaning routine.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are concentrated liquid extracts of plants and have been used for thousands of years, dating back to ancient civilisations where they harnessed the aromatic, medical and therapeutic properties of essential oils in daily practices.1https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326732#risks

Essential oils typically have stronger, more concentrated scents than the plant from which they came as they contain higher levels of active ingredients.2https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326732#risks

You know we love all things natural here at Chuckling Goat and for this reason Co-Director Shann carefully crafted our Natural Clean Essential Oil, which is a combination of three delicious and complementary essential oils: grapefruit, lemon and bergamot. These essential oils have multiple benefits – they are antibacterial, mood-boosting, calming, refreshing and relaxing. Read more about the health benefits of the individual ingredients here.

Here are 3 ways to use your Natural Clean Essential Oil at home this spring:

1. DIY all-purpose cleaner

Most household cleaners are filled with chemicals and toxins that can be dangerous for your home and family. Essential oils derive from plants and are safe for cleaning your home. To make your own all-purpose cleaner combine 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 cup of water and 30 drops of Natural Clean Essential Oil in a spray bottle and shake to combine. Use as a spray cleaner in your kitchen or bathroom.

2. Room diffuser / air freshener

Essential oils are a safe and beneficial way to purify the air and make your home smell delicious, without chemicals or pollutants. It is simple to use essential oils as an air freshener by using a homemade diffuser, reed bottle or room spray. Click here for guidance on making a DIY diffuser and air freshener and here to find out more about the benefits of inhaling essential oils.

3. Natural soap

We’re such fans of our Natural Clean Essential Oil that we’ve combined it into our chemical-free Natural Clean Hand Soap, which has been named one of the five best hand soaps in the UK! The chemical-free soap bar harnesses the natural cleansing power of grapefruit, lemon and bergamot essential oils, while nurturing your skin with the pure goodness of our goats’ milk Kefir.

Using essential oils as a complementary therapy is likely harmless. If you have a serious health condition or are taking medication, you should discuss the use of specific essential oils with your healthcare practitioner.
